Direction 1: Individuals, families and institutions understand they have a role in improving community behavioral health and preventing suicide with interventional programs.

Direction 2: High quality recognition and referral training from MHFA@directionsforliving.org

Direction 3: Integrate peer support groups through connections with non profits to behavioral healthcare providers and community resources.

Direction 4: Improve state agencies’ to collect, analyze and publicize data on suicide and behavioral health. Evaluate interventional programs in the community to improve programming and advance the field.

Facilitation  and training  with support groups by NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) and The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention with education of warning signs and risk factors for suicide prevention using “Talk Saves Lives”.
